Dr. Richard Young
Program Director, Hospitality Performance & Standards Institute
Dr. Richard Young is a 30-year hospitality executive with deep local and international experience across food and beverage operations, guest relations, service quality, process improvement, training, and standards benchmarking.
He has worked across hospitality environments where service discipline, operational consistency, and guest experience define business success. As Program Director of HPSI, Dr. Young leads curriculum design, hotel attachment partnerships, learner readiness, and performance rating standards for local and international hospitality placements.
His focus is to prepare school leavers and emerging hospitality professionals for real hotel environments through practical training, workplace discipline, customer service excellence, and measurable performance standards.
Dr. Young brings a strong blend of executive leadership, operational knowledge, workforce development, and service quality oversight. His leadership ensures HPSI learners graduate with the confidence, discipline, and practical skills required by hotels, resorts, restaurants, and cruise liner employers.
